Yep, crank one or two of these up and you're going to be in Marshall heaven - but be careful not to end up like Jimi - drugs are bad news...

If there is one thing that symbolises the Marshall amp in my view it is this picture on the left.

The picture says it all, this is what rock music is all about and with a whole plethora of tube amps singing and dancing in the background no wonder this particular guy could hack it.

In those days things were VERY loud and it shows in the sounds achieved from the rigs of the time - feedback (the real stuff) that could last forever effortlessly (checkout foxy lady at the IOW) and sound superb all at the same time.

Of course you also have to have the talent to harness that sort of power and this guy had it all when he was bad he was awful, but when he was good... simply the best in the world - and he probably remains so today.

Checkout this whole section I am going to bring online some great features, but it takes time so hang on in there.....

Marshall remains even today a company that makes great tube amps. Although the production methods have changed out of all proportion from the days of hand soldered made by just a few skilled people, the Marshall amps still sound great.

I must say, that some of the newer amps I find a bit processed, especially the DSL and TSL. It seemed to start around the 6100 anniversary top and progressed from there on. Check out the Slash head or Zak Wylde head and compare these to the current stuff and you should begin to see what I mean by way of the subtle changes that have gone on.

Either way these tube amps rock. I would not bother with the tranny stuff, unless that is, you have a keyboard or bass to play... if you get the drift....  so checkout all the stuff on the left if you like Marshall or just want to find out more.....
